Class A & B Drivers Wanted - Beverly, MA

First Call Trucking & Courier Service

CDL (A or B) Driver ~ Full Time ~ Local Pick-up & Delivery

First Call Trucking and Courier is a same day, radio dispatched, freight forwarding, shipping and delivery service company. We specialize in the handling of time sensitive deliveries, and our customers have learned to depend upon our expertise, especially when challenged by the "unexpected".

We are seeking an experienced, courteous, and responsible Driver to share in our mission of being the “First Call”  companies make when they need dependable, reliable,  and professional courier and trucking services from the Metro and Greater Boston Area to all of New England.

Requirements:

• CDL Class A or B License
• 2 Years driving experience
• Experience handling air/ocean freight
• Experience transporting  palletized goods
• HAZMAT Endorsement
• TWIC, or STA certified or have the ability to pass these certifications

·         Ability to pass a background check and a drug test according to company and DOT policies

·          Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate

• Good driving record – must maintain a Step 15 or lower
• Have dependable transportation

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and operation of a truck equipped with a  lift gate to load and unload pallets

Maintain  professional attitude and work well independently.

Communicate with the Supervisor on customer questions and/or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.

Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on the vehicle and lift gate

Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside)

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Must be willing and available to work occasional overtime

Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

Remain calm during tense or difficult situations

Act and react in a professional manner at all times with customers, co-workers, and management

Maintain timely communication with Dispatch throughout the workday
