FULL-TIME MASSACHUSETTS TRUCK DRIVER NEEDED!!!!!

A+ Staffing is seeking a truck driver in Massachusetts. Driver will drive a Ford Truck w/ 30 foot trailer to and from events. Events will be 6-8 hours with approximately 3 events a week. Days and times will vary. These events are all in Massachusetts.

Driver will be salaried employee of our client.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Must have a valid driver’s license

·         Must have previous truck driving experience

·         Abide by all DOT regulations and keep log books

·         Must have previous experience troubleshooting power, fuel, heating/AC levels for the trailer

·         Must NOT have any driving violations in the past 5 years

·         Must be able to work the 32 weeks – this is a full time position and you will not be able to accept other work during this time

·         Will maintain truck and trailer as needed for maintenance appointments/cleaning

·         Must be have prior experience driving a truck in inclement weather (ice, rain, etc)

·         Must have previous experience with setup and breakdown for events

DESCRIPTION

Looking for a FT dedicated driver who will be responsible for driving a heavy duty truck and 30' trailer to approximately 96 events taking place between April 20, 2015 through December 1, 2015 across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. This tour is for one of our clients, a non-profit organization that will use the trailer to house counselors who will educate constituents about various aspects related to education, in particular how to finance a higher education and successfully manage any education debt. At these events, job responsibilities include:

  • Ensure generator in trailer has ample fuel to power equipment throughout event
  • Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to scheduled arrival time
  • Set up and break down all event components inside and outside of the trailer
  • Disconnect the trailer from the truck prior to each event, and reconnect after each event
  • Operate the trailer for the duration of each event (monitor AC/heating levels, troubleshooting, etc.) and troubleshoot any issues that may arrise in transit or onsite at events
  • Help the client with anything they may need onsite for successful operation
  • Take the truck and trailer in for maintenance as needed
  • Maintain a clean interior and exterior of the vehicle and trailer
  • Secure all items within the vehicle prior to transit
  • Abide by all Department of Transportation regulations, and submit log books weekly
  • Identify a safe parking lot in each market to park the truck and trailer overnight each evening for the duration of the tour
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be fully licensed to drive and operate the truck and trailer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Must have a record free of any moving motor vehicle violations in the last 5 years
  • Must be a safe driver who is personable, a great communicator, responsible and organized
  • Must be experienced driving a truck and trailer in inclement weather, including ice, rain and wind
  • Must have experience setting up and striking event equipment for events or mobile tours
  • Must reside in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • College degree preferred
