Join our team as a Local CDL Class A Truck Driver. Take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely within your local area. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to operate a tractor-trailer with refrigerated trailers. You’ll be the backbone of our logistics operation, ensuring timely load & unload processes, route navigating, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL class A tractor-trailer with manual and automatic transmissions and refrigerated trailers to deliver freight across designated local routes.
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment such as electric pallet jack when necessary.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all regulations.
• Manage route driving with a focus on punctuality, safety, and adherence to traffic laws.
• Verify freight loads for accuracy and securements for safe transport.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance reports in compliance with DOT regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid CDL Class A license.
• Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and various trailer types including refrigerated trailers.
• Strong understanding of load & unload procedures and freight handling best practices.
• Ability to operate additional equipment such as an electric pallet jack when required for cargo management.
• Excellent route planning skills with a focus on efficiency and safety.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for commercial driving.

• Good MVR-safe driving history.
• Must possess current valid DOT medical card.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
