Job description

We are a local family owned business providing environmentally sound landscaping and erosion control solutions since 1979. Outstanding track record with a majority of our employees having been here for over 20 years. We have worked on road projects, golf courses, residential and commercial developments, and the railways. Groundscapes is a MassDOT (Massachusetts Dept. of Transportation) approved contractor.

We are looking for a responsible, reliable person with a good attitude to be a part of our team full time and year round.

•          Driving Experience preferred but not required, willing to train new drivers

Responsibilities

•          Transport and install biodegradable products; bark mulch, compost and FilterMitts for erosion control and stormwater management. Will train on the job.

•          Document and log work hours on job site and materials used

•          Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and report and log maintenance issues daily

•          Work in a clean, efficient and timely manner

•          Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

•          Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions

•          Collect and verify delivery instructions

•          Report defects, accidents or violations

Skills

•          Proven hard worker and motivated

•          Requires some heavy lifting and physical labor

•          Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations

•          Ability to exercise good judgement and time management

•          Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)

•          Mechanical ability is a plus (not required)

•          Valid CDL Class A license

•          DOT Medical Card

•          OSHA 10 (can apply for if not have)

•          Driving Experience preferred but willing to train new drivers

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
