Plumbers’ Supply Company is a growth oriented, privately held plumbing and heating wholesaler with 17 locations throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
Class B Driver – Plumbing, Heating & HVAC distributor located in New Bedford, MA seeks a motivated and dependable individual to be part of our warehouse staff. Successful candidates are team oriented, pitching in to support the team at all times.
Hours for position are from 5:00am – 1:00pm, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities
- Transport and ensure product gets delivered to branches on a timely manner
- Ensure contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage
- Assist in loading and unloading product
- Perform warehouse tasks when not driving such as forklift operation, and picking via elevated platform on an order picker.
- Safely and efficiently handle product
- Confirm contents of each shipment load
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions
- Comply with DOT regulations
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Valid Class B driver’s license required
- 2+ years proven experience with driving preferred
- Clean driving record with no moving violations (Driving records will be reviewed)
- Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
- Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
- Applicant must be capable of lifting 75 lbs. & lift/push/pull throughout entire
- Able to operate an electric lift, hand trucks, pallet jacks, etc.
- Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
