Overview
Bay State Hydroseed is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate should have Class B CDL with tank endorsements. Applicants should have strong customer service skills and a clean driving record. Experience with landscape/ hydroseed is preferred. This is a labor intensive position, all team members are required to participate in labor tasks. This is a family owned business located in Plainville MA, work is performed all over Ma/ New England. The typical season is April through October/ November.
Responsibilities
- Operate a stick shift 10 speed truck
- Load and unload material as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Must be willing to drive and engage in physical labor
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Daily tasks include loading truck, pulling hose on site, clean up on site, truck washing and maintenance
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during service
- Ability to troubleshoot and identify mechanical issues
Experience
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles
- Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of local and regional roadways.
- Landscape experience preferred
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
