Job Description: Oil Delivery Truck Driver
Location: Weymouth, Hanson, Franklin, Middleborough Position: Seasonal or Full-time
Position Summary:
The Oil Delivery Truck Driver is responsible for safely delivering oil to customers.
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for the delivery of heating oil to residential and commercial customers
Propane a Plus
Inspects oil tanks, piping and bleed oil lines and fire oil burners as necessary.
Follow proper procedures for dispensing fuel and handling hazardous materials
Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the truck and equipment
Maintain cleanliness and general maintenance of the truck and equipment
Completes required paperwork in a professional and legible manner
Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must have a valid CDL Class B license
Must have Tank, Hazmat endorsements and Air Brake certification
Must have a valid TWIC
Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT physical (conducted at our occupational
health provider's location) and maintain a DOT medical examiner's certificate Must have a clean DMV driving record
Must be dependable, reliable, detail oriented, a team player and can work independently
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, the employee may be required to talk, hear, vision — close and far, stand, walk, sit, climb/balance, push/pull, lift greater than 25 lbs., reach, use fingers and hands, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl.
The employee will primarily work outside and is exposed to moving vehicles and changes in weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
