Grounds Worker 2

Town of Wayland

The Town of Wayland seeks qualified candidates for a Grounds Work 2 with the Department of Public Works. The Grounds Worker 2 performs a variety of skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled manual work associated with the care, upkeep and maintenance of fields, grounds, beaches, playgrounds, cemetaries, recreation structures and facilities.

Fulltime: 40 hours a week 

Union/Grade: Teamsters/ D-4

Starting Salary Range: $22.50 - $26.20 an hour 

Recommended Minimum Qualifications: 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in groundskeeping work.

Substitutions: none

Licenses/Certificates: Must have a valid Class B drivers license. Must have a vald 2B Hoisting License; 2A Hoisting License preferred. Must have a valid Massachusetts pesticide Certificate.
