We have an open position for a driver with a class B license. The position entails loading materials at the Supply yard and delivering them to the Jobsite via a Moffet device which requires a 1C Hoisting license, for which we will provide training.
As is the case with DOT type positions a background check and drug test are required for the position.

Job Summary
Incumbents in the position of Logistics Specialist I is designated as a “Trainee”. Incumbent will remain in this position until all required training has been completed. The primary duty of the Logistics Specialist I is to deliver building materials to a customer’s place of business or to a job site. The primary vehicle used to accomplish this duty is a 24-foot flatbed straight truck with a gross weight exceeding 26,001 lb. The Logistics Specialists I operate within a 200-mile radius of their home branch with deliveries originating and ending at the branch (No deliveries result in an overnight stay) Logistics Specialists I may have to load and unload trucks using a forklift or Moffett and/or other mechanical equipment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Safely drive a commercial vehicle in compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Operate all equipment in accordance with local, state, and federal laws at all times.
• Validate and confirm inventory loaded on the truck comparing to purchase orders and sign-off on delivery tickets.
• Confirm addresses on delivery tickets and ensure that routing information is obtained prior to leaving the branch.
• Ensure load is properly and safely tied down in accordance with Company policy.
• Return all paperwork to designated branch personnel after every return trip to Branch Office.
• Perform required DOT post-inspections on vehicle and provide copy of post-inspection report to designated manager prior to the end of the workday.
• Ensure Management is notified of any repairs, equipment issues or safety hazards.
