Transport Driver - CDL-A (Temporary)

POSITION AT A GLANCE:

Job Description

This position is responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials between facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Load and unload finished goods and raw materials using a forklift or pallet jack (if necessary)
  • Check accuracy and stability of the load
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections using ELD (GeoTab)
  • Operate industrial vehicles and equipment
  • Connect and disconnect trailers
  • Maintain DOT Required documentation using ELD (GeoTab)
  • Maintain DOT time log, Bill of Lading and other paperwork as required
  • Maintain vehicle, product, equipment and other company property to company standards
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures
  • Transport finished goods and raw materials between facilities
  • Facilitate the trailer moves in the PC/DC yards if needed upon arrival

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
  • 1-3 years of general work experience required
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to push and pull manual and powered material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, hand-truck etc.) containing product loads for a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of integrity and be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision on a timely basis
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
