CDL Class B Drivers Wanted - Southfield, MA

Route Service Delivery Driver 

Southfield, MA

*** The driver MUST  live no more than 30 driving minutes from Southfield MA 01259.   That is because the delivery routes start and end at our plant in Southfield, MA .***

 

This position is ideal for individuals who are looking for a career and not a job. You will have responsibility for delivering to and servicing your customers in a defined geography. Your job will be to deliver bottled water and water coolers to customers in that area each day, and return empty bottles.   GPS and handheld for invoicing and inventory control are provided.  Building strong customer rapport is our goal and part of your job description.  Class B is preferred when starting, but not required.

WHAT WE OFFER:

Competitive compensation:  After 30-90 days of training, you will earn between $52,000 and $55,000 per annum for approximately 45 hours of work each week.  Home every night and weekends.  Once you have earned your Class B license your compensation will increase by an additional $4,000 to $5,000 per annum.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

  • Deliver a range of products and manage your customers’ inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks daily, using handheld for inventory control and billing.
  • Build a relationship with customers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Recommend new product and services to our customers.
  • Handle extra customer requests in your general area during the day

WHAT WE SEEK IN APPLICANTS:

  • Live within less than 30 minutes of Southfield, MA 01259
  • 2+ years of professional customer-interaction experience is ideal
  • Self-motivated person who enjoys hard work and a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive 24 ft. box truck is ideal; class B license ideal but will train.
  • The ability to lift up to 45 pounds, repetitively, daily.
  • In addition to these requirements, you will need to pass a DOT physical, background check, and pre-employment drug screening.
