Heavy Motor Equipment Operator & P W Laborer
Overview:
This is a Labor Service position.
Brief Job Description (essential functions of the job):
Under general supervision, operates and has responsibility for one of a wide variety of heavy motor equipment not requiring a special license (other than a Commercial Driver's License) or unusual skill, such as dump trucks, street sweepers, snow plows, sanders, etc.
Responsibilities:
May supervise a group of motor equipment operators or laborers; when not driving, performs any of the duties of a Public Works Laborer; and does related work as required.
Required to work any emergency as directed by the Chief of Streets or designee.
Minimum Entrance Qualifications:
Civil Service Applicants Preferred.
