Job Title: Courier / Sterile Load Driver

Position Summary:
The Courier / Sterile Load Driver is expected to work as a valued member of the logistics operations. This job will primarily consist of route driving in-state and out of state and will require pick-up and/or delivery of goods from our manufacturing facility to other businesses. An overnight stay at a local hotel is required for out of state travel.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Driving the vehicle is the primary responsibility of the Courier / Sterile Load Driver which includes loading and unloading cargo.
  • Operate company-owned and / or leased vehicle to facilitate shipping and receiving operations.
  • Operate company-owned and / or leased vehicle for the delivery, pickup and relocation of products and materials.
  • Driver must maintain a logbook and any records per client direction for all vehicles not regulated by DOT requirements.
  • If the operating vehicle falls under FMCSA rules and regulations, the driver must be capable of meeting all FMCSA and DOT requirements. These include but are not limited to conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, proper use of emergency equipment, Electronic Logging of Hours of Service and avoiding Hours of Service violations. The driver should also be familiar with requirements governing vehicles with GVW exceeding 10,000 lbs and used in interstate commerce
  • If driving the company truck which requires DOT regulations - All DOT and federal regulations must be followed all times. Any long-haul driving must maintain a logbook of their driving activities as per DOT to ensure compliance with federal regulations governing the rest and work periods for operators. Driver must also keep a record of vehicle inspections and make sure the truck is equipped with safety equipment, such as hazardous materials placards. Perform required before, during and after-operation "user maintenance and provide required reports per DOT requirements.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
  • Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition.
  • Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and OSHA and company safety program as required.


Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record
