Cam’s Demolition and Disposal is based out of Wilmington, MA and proudly serves our customers in Essex County, Middlesex County and Southern New Hampshire.

Job Summary:

Our Roll-Off drivers are responsible for safely operating a heavy commercial truck while providing prompt and courteous service to our customers. Roll-Off drivers are responsible for preparing, loading, and transporting open-top containers to haul waste or debris from high-volume construction customers, as well as from residential and commercial customers including our in-house demolition job locations to various disposal sites which include landfills, transfer and/or recycle facilities. Roll-Off Drivers will navigate driveways, alleyways, lots, high traffic roadways and may operate in tight overhead environments while on industrial routes or crowded city environments. Highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential, to successfully perform this job.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned:

• Ability to safely operate a roll-off truck on specified routes to collect construction debris and/or solid waste

• Operate vehicle in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT), Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) requirements as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment and documents checks on company provided Driver Inspection Report

• Operate hydraulic system to lift/load refuse and dispose at designated transfer or recycle facilities

• Must be comfortable with hooking and unhooking the containers on your truck

• Ensure proper disposal of materials

• Log deliveries and pick-up of waste materials using work orders

• Immediately report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to Dispatch Manager

• Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings required by Cam’s Management or Dispatch Manager

• Work closely with Dispatch Manager to improve routes efficiencies and identify best practices

• Notify Dispatch Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage(s).

• Notify Dispatch Manager of service interruptions, including blocked containers, closed lots, street, alleyways, or potential safety hazards

• Identify and report all containers in need of repair or replacement

• Follow route assignments as directed and complete end of day documentation

• Performs all duties as scheduled by Dispatch Manager and assisting other drivers as directed to meet customer needs

 

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

• Education: High-School Diploma or GED Certificate

• Experience: Minimum of 1-year previous driving experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, or Other Requirements:

• Possess a valid Massachusetts or New Hampshire driver’s license
