Non CDL positiion with the chance for full-time CDL position depending on fit.
This position is Seasonal with potential for full time.
This position will work on various athletic fields throughout the Northeast region of the United States, including professional, collegiate, private school, and municipalities. This position consists of physical labor and basic operating skills. This position includes but is not limited to equipment operation, laser grading, amending soils, installation of turfgrass, and minor irrigation repair. Winter work may include snow removal. Proper certifications but be obtained in order to operate equipment.
Previous experience in turfgrass, landscape, or related field and equipment operation experience is not required but recommended.
Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
Candidate must obtain a DOT Medical Card prior to start date.
Candidate must have a good driving record and be able to pass a drug test.
Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds and willing to perform manual labor.
Candidate must be willing to work as part of a team and also individually.
Candidate must be attentive and reliable, willing to travel throughout New England, work in all weather conditions, work extended hours, and sometimes weekends.
Candidate must be diligent, have a strong work ethic, willing to learn, follow instructions, and be polite/effective in communicating with clientele.
Candidate must have reliable transportation.
A CDL Class A is not required, but preferred and will give the candidate higher consideration.
