COMMERCIAL TRUCK DRIVER / WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE
SUMMARY
The Truck Driver will be responsible for loading trucks and daily delivery of HVAC materials and equipment to local jobsites. Position requires a CDL License (Class A preferred) with clean driving record, and valid health card. Position is 50% driving and 50% filling orders and loading trucks with some light truck repairs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain current appropriate licenses and DOT medical card.
• Loading materials and equipment onto delivery trucks.
• Securing load for proper transportation.
• Pre-trip safety inspection of truck.
• Safe navigation of roadways, following all state and DOT laws and driving regulations.
• Adhere to building and city rules for parking and unloading.
• Communication with Dock Masters and Field Foreman upon arrival at destination.
• Assisting with unloading at jobsite.
• Other duties as assigned by Logistics Manager.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Candidate must have mechanical ability, knowledge of Boston and metro area, and physical strength to lift 50 lbs or more on a regular basis. Organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently as well as follow direction required. Knowledge or experience in the HVAC field would be a plus. Position is 40 hours a week with possible overtime. Early start times and nights or weekends required as needed. Due to the early and changing start times applicant residing on the South Shore is preferred. Forklift license/experience and OSHA training a plus. Candidate will be subject to background screening and drug testing.
