As a member of VPNE’s growing transportation division, the role of the CDL Shuttle driver is to safely transport employees and customers from parking facilities to their designated areas. The CDL Shuttle Driver will provide exceptional service and safety at all times as well as ensure the vehicle is cleaned and maintained to company standards.

Responsibilities

·         Maintain safety standards at all time while transporting employees to their designated area.

·         Ensure that the vehicle meets all safety requirements and is up to date with maintenance schedule

·         Follow all traffic signs/laws and maintain posted speed limits

·         Ensure all passengers are authorized to board the Shuttle

·         Maintain set schedule to ensure delays are at a minimum

·         Ensure each passenger has a positive and safe experience each ride

·         Use critical thinking skills to resolve all issues in a timely manner

·         Inform and relay all necessary information in a clear, concise, and professional manner to managers in person or via the shuttle radio

·         Past driving experience preferred

 

Qualifications

·         Licenses required: CDL class A B or C WITH Passenger Endorsement

·         Endorsement Certificates required: Updated Medical Certificate; DPU Certification

·         Be at least 21 years of age

·         At least 6 months professional driving experience preferred

·         Be able to sit for long periods of time

·         Strong sense of customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills

·         Smile during every customer interaction with passengers

·         Maintain uniform standards

·         Successfully pass company issued driving test

·         Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and MVR check

·         Able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
