JOB SUMMARY

Box Truck Driver will safely and efficiently transport product from the Sharon, MA Warehouse to various customers and properly unload the product according to customer delivery receipts- obtaining electronic signatures on Ipod device and following special instructions accordingly.

PRIMARY DUTIES

• Driver will safely transport product from the warehouse to the customer(s) and ensures product is delivered on a timely basis. Maintain an adequate level of fuel in the vehicle. Report any equipment discrepancies to the manager for immediate action.
• Driver will unload product according to customer specifications.
• Driver will ensure all logs and trip reports are completed accurately and submitted on a timely basis according to DOT standards.
• Driver will ensure all delivery receipts are turned in daily and any adjustments are completed correctly. Report all damages and shortages promptly.
• Driver will develop and establish relationships with customers by providing excellent and courteous service.
• Driver will ensure all vehicle equipment maintenance reports are properly verified and completed for all pre-trip / post-trip inspections.
• Driver will safely transports product picked up via back hauls and line hauls and ensures picked up is correct and is delivered on a timely basis.
• Driver will deliver pallets of ice melt using electric pallet jacks

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma/GED plus 3 years of driving experience preferred. Class C license preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• The day is spent driving a truck and making deliveries to various locations in the New England Area.
• Candidate must be able to safely lift up to 50 lb. boxes continuously, lift up to 75 lb. boxes occasionally.
• The job requires walking, stepping up and down, bending, and standing, pushing, pulling, climbing and lifting.
