POSITION OVERVIEW
Harpoon is seeking a highly motivated CDL A tractor/trailer driver for our local dedicated full-time route operating from our Boston and Woburn, MA locations. The ideal candidate’s primary responsibilities will include driving a CDL class A truck on a daily route, making trailer drops between the two main locations. All qualified applicants must have a clean CDL A license and a high school diploma or GED.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Daily log/circle check on tractor and trailer
- Driving scheduled daily route
- Maintaining and scheduling routine maintenance on tractor and trailer
- Utilizing a mindset of continuity and improvement as well as assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Following Good Manufacturing Practices
- Maintaining a clean, sanitary and safe work area
- Following all required work safe practices including wearing all required PPE in designated areas, safe material handling, etc.
- Performing other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Must have a valid class A CDL license
- 12 months experience in the past 3 years pulling a 48-foot van trailer
- Must be 23 years or older
- Must pass a DOT physical from one of our chosen FMCSA qualified clinics
- Must be able to demonstrate safe, responsible driving habits and parking maneuvers
- Must be able to operate a CMV on public roadways
- No felony convictions within the previous 10 years
- No failed DOT drug or alcohol tests
- No DUIs in the previous 7 years
- Must meet all qualifications in section 391.11 of the FMCSA regulations handbook
