J Polep is looking for LOCAL CDL A Delivery Drivers.
Drivers are home every night and off on weekends!
J. Polep Distribution Services is a family owned and operated business founded in 1986 and has been growing ever since. Headquartered in Chicopee, MA, J Polep has satellite locations in Stratford, CT, Wilmington, MA, Providence, RI, and Albany, NY. The company is growing and is hiring drivers in all locations.
J Polep drivers deliver products to a variety of convenience stores, gas stations, Colleges/Universities and hospitals. Drivers use hand trucks to make their deliveries.
Equipment includes International and Freightliner tractors and refrigerated Straight Trucks leased from Ryder Logistics or Penske Truck Leasing. Tractors are primarily 10-speed standard transmissions.
Our start time is between 3-5 am Monday through Friday, home daily with weekends off.
Employee Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision/Life/Disability Insurance as well as paid vacations, sick leave and a 401(k). Benefits are available to both employees and their families on the 1st of the month after 60 days of employment and 401K at 90 days.
Pay Rate:
$23/hr with scheduled reviews at 6, 12, 18 & 24 months with up to $1.50 increase each time. Time and a half after 40 hours. Expect 55 hours a week.
Deliveries are made to NYC/5 Burroughs, 28 foot pup trailer.
2 weeks of solid training with a trainer, daily goals and sign off sheets. Must have a good driving record. (Absolutely NO DUI's in the last 7 years).
We offer 7 pay increases in the first 2 years, excellent home time, good equipment, and no delivering up or down stairs.

1. Driving
2. Delivery (down ramps with a 2 wheeler - quite physical - No stairs, no stocking shelves)
3. Dealing with customers and $$
**All newly hired drivers receive extensive in-house training with a certified Driver Trainer. The program teaches you about the products and procedures and how to deliver safely, correctly and efficiently.
