Class B Route Sales Rep (Relief) - Dedham, MA

Nestlé USA is hiring a CDL B Route Sales Rep – Relief for our Dedham, MA location.
As a Sales Representative - Relief, the primary function is to provide relief coverage to Sales Representatives and other full-time sales positions, including covering open routes due to vacancies within the district. Sales Rep Reliefs identify and act on selling opportunities, make secondary placements, gain extra displays, use Point of Sale (POS), and make effective sales presentations through use of sales data. This role works directly with store managers and store personnel to ensure a high level of sales and customer service is provided in retail accounts.
The position requires both driving to grocery store customers in a personal vehicle, for which mileage reimbursement will be provided per company policy, and a company vehicle.

What does it take to be a Route Sales Representative?
· Hold a Class B CDL license/permit
· Previous route sales experience is ideal
- Retail sales/grocery experience
- Customer Relationship Management experience
- Competitive/motivated mindset
A typical day for a Route Sales Representative includes:
- Identify and act on new selling opportunities, maintain/increase space, gain extra displays.
- Using a hand dolly and ramp to unload products from the delivery truck.
- Taking unsold or outdated product off store shelves and returning them to the Distribution Center
- Setting up displays and/or promotions in stores
- Ensuring target goals are maintained for sales, waste and safety
- Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements (no cell phones while driving, pre-trip/ post-trip inspections, proper bending, etc.), use personal protective equipment, proactively address any unsafe conditions observed and lock vehicle.
This is a physical job. On a given day you will need to be able to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods of time. You will need to be comfortable with frequently lifting up to 20 pounds. On occasion, lifting of 40-50 pounds may be required.
