CDL TRUCK DRIVER
GENERAL FUNCTION
Operates tractor/trailer in accordance with Department of Transportation and Company guidelines in order to deliver products to dealer locations
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Performs regular equipment checks and completes related documentation
• Delivers products to dealer locations
• Assists with unloading trucks and warehousing and/or palletizing at customer locations, Picks-up/loads returned products and completes all related paperwork
• Provides customer service and inspects products for defects
• Completes driver log and submits on a daily basis along with other trip sheet, fuel, maintenance and delivery documentation
• Reports accidents and completes appropriate paperwork per established mandated/Plant procedures and submits to drug and alcohol testing
• Maintains current knowledge of, and complies with, CDL/DOT and Company/Plant requirements and attends driver safety meetings
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
• Ability to read and write and understand basic English
• Must be at least 21 years old and be physically qualified to drive a truck in accordance with DOT requirements
• Must have a currently valid commercial drivers license and drivers license issued from only one State or jurisdiction
• 2+ years Prior CDL driving experience with a good driving record
• Ability to safely operate Plant motor vehicles
• Meets all other DOT standards and requirements
DESIRED:
• High school graduate/GED equivalent
• Prior experience working with the public
• Effective communication/interpersonal skills
