Entrance Requirements for Commercial Driver's License Courses

  • State Driver's License
  • A passing grade on admission test
  • Personal Interview
  • Ability to pass DOT Physical and Drug Test

Minimum Requirements to start your new Career in Transportation

AGE — While many states allow those 18 & older to drive trucks within state borders, federal regulations require drivers crossing state lines to be at least 21 years of age.

PHYSICAL CONDITION — A student must be able to pass a physical and drug test to obtain a Medical Examiner's Certificate. (D.O.T. Card). For more information visit www.josephdemmamd.com or call Dr. Joseph Emma’s office at 508-586-1046.

VISION — A driver must have a minimum of 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without corrective lenses, and have 70 degree field of vision in each eye. Drivers may not be color blind.

CRIMINAL/DRIVING RECORD — Records must be brought to the school for a confidential evaluation.

RESIDENCY— Must have U.S. birth certificate, Green Card or U.S. passport to obtain a CDL Permit.

Doesn’t it make sense to trust your teen to a seasoned professional? Our experts train your teen to anticipate dangerous situations and develop critical decision-making skills. Student drivers learn how to be aware of what is going on around them, recognize hazards, assess risk and anticipate trouble. Driver’s Ed training is offered in the Bridgewater/ Raynham area.
